Deep Tissue Massage & Swedish Full Body Massage

Whether you are looking for pain relief, to help the healing process or simply to relax after a long working week, a massage at The Barn Clinic can work wonders.

Swedish Full Body Massage is a gentle, calming and comforting treatment using  long strokes, effleurage and kneading. This particular type of massage is both invigorating and relaxing, and provides an excellent way of ridding the body of tension in order achieve a sense of overall well-being. During the treatment, most of the major muscle groups will be addressed, and by using strokes that improve circulation and increase full body relaxation, this treatment will aid the body in removing metabolic waste through lymphatic drainage.

Deep Tissue Sports Massage is a type of massage that is used to work on athletes of all levels and abilities. This treatment is designed to prepare your body for the optimum efficiency, recover effectively from recent exertion and to function properly, during the course of exercise. Similarly to Swedish full body massage, the main purpose of the treatment is to help alleviate the stress and tension which has built up in the body during a period of physical activity. Deep tissue massage boasts many other health benefits, including reducing the heart rate and blood pressure, increasing circulation and lymphatic flow, releasing muscle tension, improve flexibility and pain relief.
